Resident Activity Director Workshop

October 14-17 at the Baton Rouge Marriott
The certification course, presented by Jeff DeMars, NFA, ADC-EDU, ACC-BC, CDCS, CDBS, will teach attendees how to identify the activity needs of each resident and will share creative techniques and strategies to implement when planning, developing and delivering quality life-enriching activities for residents in a nursing facility. During the seminar, attendees will complete an onsite clinical practicum at a licensed nursing facility. It is suggested that the class be taken every two years as a refresher training due to ever-changing policies and procedures. Click here to view the program to learn more.

MDS Updates Including PDPM Presented by Myers & Stauffer

October 21-22 at the Crowne Plaza Baton Rouge
This seminar will cover all MDS coding items covered in all six chapters of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) Manual. Emphasis will be placed on the new and retired MDS items implemented by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) on October 1, 2019. Additional time will be dedicated to Chapter 6 of the RAI manual reviewing the Patient-Driven Payment Model (PDPM) reimbursement model applicable to the Medicare Part A stay beginning October 1, 2019.
