Virtual Education: Top Cybersecurity Challenges and Threats

September 30, 2020, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. CT.

LNHA invites long-term care professionals to attend a virtual training on the challenges in cybersecurity on September 30, 2020, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. CT via Zoom. Cyber threats can occur at any time in any organization. While the United States is facing the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, malicious actors and cybercriminal groups exploit known vulnerabilities and heightened public fear through phishing campaigns causing users to open documents and click links before properly investigating their legitimacy. This presentation is ideal for 1) staff members responsible for allocating resources for their organization’s physical security and cybersecurity and 2) physical security and cybersecurity professionals of all experience levels.

Representatives from the New Orleans FBI Field Office Cyber Task Force, the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Louisiana State Analytical and Fusion Exchange (LA-SAFE) and the Louisiana National Guard will provide information regarding the physical and cyber threats to the healthcare profession. The presenters will also share tools, products and resources to help facilities mitigate threats.

Upon completion, participants will have the knowledge and tools to develop a clear plan to continually improve the physical and cybersecurity capability at their long-term care facility. Register today to hear timely information from cybersecurity experts and learn about the policies, procedures and best practices facilities should implement.
