Who Are Your State Legislators & How to Contact Them |
When the Louisiana Legislature convenes
at the Capitol in Baton Rouge on March 31, 2003, contacting them will be
vital at times. To help you be prepared, LNHA provides the following tips:
"How Do I Find Out Who
My Legislators Are?"
-
Via the Internet, log onto the LNHA
website: www.lnha.org
-
Click on the
following link:
Louisiana State
Legislator
-
The best way to find your legislators
is by choosing "Legislators".
-
Then click on "Who Are Your State
Senators and Representatives? Find Out."
-
Enter your street address, city and
zip code and click on "search".
-
At this point, your screen will
display your (1) State Representative, (2) State Senator, (3) U.S.
Representative and (4) U.S. Senators. You will want to focus on State
Senator and State Representative information.
"How Do I Contact My
Legislator(s)?"
-
Click on the Legislator's Name and you
will be taken to their capitol Web Page which provides biographical
information, e-mail information, office information (address, phone &
fax for capitol and district office(s)), and district information.
"What if I Do Not Have Access to the
Internet?"
If you do not have access to the
Internet, contact LNHA staff Julie Brady at (225) 927-5642. She will help
you to identify who your legislators are and give you their contact
information.
